Voting Question: international shipment?

i ordered an iPod Touch through the apple website. they estimated it will come on the 2nd of February. I've been tracking the shipment on the FedEx website. It shipped from china, went somewhere else in china, where it now says "International shipment release - Import" under activity its been on that for a day and a half now, and its already the first of February. First, what does International shipment release mean?
